Menai Swim Academy was the vision of a family that has lived in the Sutherland Shire since 1982. The founder, Noel Harris, originally obtained his Bronze Medallion at Bronte Beach in 1966, which taught him how crucial the education of water safety is. When the pool opened in July 2000, we were overwhelmed with the response and support of the Sutherland Shire. Today, through further education and international experience, our vision is still alive. We proudly provide the local community with a professional Learn to Swim Centre and remain involved with local schooling and sporting communities.

WES HARRIS
GENERAL MANAGER
From an early age Wes has been involved in swimming and the swimming industry . He has previously competed at state and national level with some great results.
At the age of 16 he started teaching and in later years assisted in the development and opening of Menai Swim Academy. After a number of years of teaching and supervising, he ventured to London where he managed one of the biggest independent swim schools in central London.
Since 2005, Wes has taken up the manager’s role at Menai Swim Academy.
His best stroke is Breaststroke.
Known as Wacky Wes.
